Mission 3 (Blackout)

"Blackout", Caucasus Mountains, Russia, SGT Soap Mactavish, 22nd SAS. In this mission you are operating deep in enemy territory. Your objective is to locate, free and then extract an informant who is facing execution. You first start off as three man squad: Price, Gaz and Soap. After navigating your way to a rally point, you link up with Russian Loyalists who are under the command of SGT. Kamarov. We learn that Price and Kamarov are friends and that they have known each other for many years. As you reach the village where your informant (codename: Nikoli) is being held, you encounter a lot of enemy resistance. Your objective from now on is to provide sniper support for Kamarov’s troops as they enter the village on foot. As you continue to provide support, the enemy call in troop transport helicopters to try and out flank Kamarov’s men and you. After fending off the reinforcements, you make your way to the edge of the cliff side and prepare to Repel down and join Kamarov’s men in their effort to assault the village. As you successfully retake the village, your squad advances up towards a large house which is supposedly where Nikoli is being held.
